Richard Webb Reserve in West Pennant Hills is worth your visit

Richard Webb Reserve runs along Darling Mills Creek in West Pennant Hills NSW. It is part of the 8km Murri Yanna Track, Bidjigal Reserve, that descends all the way to Hazel Ryan Oval (North Rocks).

This track runs along Darling Mills Creek and features a new playground, cascades, and a nice, wide path you can use with an all-terrain pram.

Richard Webb Reserve has two playgrounds. A brand new playground located at the top Richard Webb Reserve on Aiken Road near the Hill Road roundabout and also another smaller, older one on its western side on Deakin Place. You can also find cascades after rain and a beautiful, flat bush path that you could use with an all-terrain pram.

There is also a picnic shelter with seats next to the playground. You can also ride on the path that runs around the playground.

Be aware that although the Aiken Road is busy, the playground is set back from the road and logs are scattered along the park.

You can start at the playground on Aiken Road. Follow the fire trail to the park’s back right. You will reach a bridge crossing. Then you continue walking with the creek to your right until you reach Heidi Place.

There is a spot where you can stop and go down to the creek. The creek is often dry.

There are several ways to get into Richard Webb Reserve. For a shorter walk to the cascades, we usually start at Aiken Road. Both are accessible via street parking.

Tall Blue Gums, sandstone ravines, a waterfall, and wildflowers are some of the sights you will see. This hike follows Darling Mills Creek through beautiful scenery to the Hills’ only waterfall. On the return trip down, the loop track climbs up a steep section of rocky terrain.
